The Person You're Texting Is Five Different Contacts. We Introduced Them to Each Other

One human, five apps, five contact entries with five separate histories. In Kanvo a person is one contact with every handle attached — and you can reach them without choosing the app first.

What one contact actually holds

Every conversation, in one place — messages from every connected channel, filed under the person rather than the appWhich app each message came from — a WhatsApp message reads as WhatsApp, an Instagram DM as Instagram, so context is never lostTheir identity on each platform — the name, photo and handle each channel ex…

Why this was harder than a merge button

Because channels do not agree on what identity even is. WhatsApp hands you a phone number. Instagram gives you a username. Messenger offers a platform ID. Telegram a handle. None of them know about each other, and none of them stay still — people change numbers, rename accounts, abandon apps.

Reaching them without choosing an app first

The usual flow is backwards: pick WhatsApp, then remember who is on WhatsApp, then hope. In Kanvo you start from the person. Tell Kanvo who to reach and it works out where they can be found and what the message needs — you do not have to name the channel, and you can always override it when you want a specific one.

Try it

Open Contacts, pick a person you talk to on more than one app, and look at what is attached to them. If they are still two rows, connect the second channel and watch them become one.

A unified inbox puts WhatsApp, Slack, Signal and the rest in one list. That's the first step, and it's where most products stop. An agentic messenger does the work in that list: it reads, drafts and follows up, then tells you what's left.
