What is AI-native messaging?
AI-native messaging is messaging built with an AI agent in the foundation, not added on. The app ranks what needs you, drafts replies in your voice, follows up and keeps a record of everything the agent did — and its API is built for agents as well as people. Kanvo is an AI-native messenger.
Six things an AI-native messenger does
Take the AI out of a chat app with AI features and it still works. Take it out of an AI-native messenger and the point of it goes.
It decides what needs you
What arrives is ranked: the questions waiting on you, the promises you made, the threads going cold. You start from that list rather than from the newest message.
It drafts in your voice
Replies are drafted from the conversation and from how you write, so most of the work is reading and pressing send.
It reads everything, including voice
Voice notes are transcribed when they arrive, long threads are summarised on request, and any message can be translated — so nothing is out of the agent's reach because of its format.
It keeps a record of what AI did
When an agent sends for someone, Kanvo records who authorised it, what it was allowed to say and whether it said it was AI. Rules about AI disclosure are enforceable because the record is made at send time.
Machines are first-class users
An MCP server and a REST API give agents the same reach the app has, under the permissions a person grants — the plumbing assumes a machine will use it.
You choose the model
Ask Kanvo runs on the model you pick, including your own, and every answer shows which one wrote it.
AI-native messaging is not…
Four things it is often confused with, and the difference in a sentence each.
