What is agentic chat?
Agentic chat is chat in which an AI agent takes part. It reads the conversation, answers questions about it, drafts replies and acts — schedules, follows up, answers with buttons — for the person it works for, only as far as they allow. Kanvo is a chat app built around it: your conversations with people, and an agent working in them.
Five things agentic chat does
A chat with a bot answers commands. Agentic chat has an agent that understands the conversation it is in.
The agent is in the conversation
Ask Kanvo about any message, right where it is: what they meant, what was agreed, what is still open. The answer comes back in the chat, with a way to copy it or act on it.
It answers with things you can press
An agent's reply can carry cards and buttons — a choice to make, a form to confirm, a follow-up to ask. Pressing one is an ordinary reply that everyone in the thread can see.
It acts, with your nod
Drafting the reply, scheduling it, following up when nobody answered: the agent does the work and waits for you to approve it, unless you have told it it may go ahead.
Agents can be members
An app's AI agent can sit in an ordinary thread alongside people, answer there, and be seen to be an agent — the same chat, not a separate bot window.
Your own agent can join in
Agents like Claude reach your conversations through Kanvo's MCP server and REST API, with only the permissions you grant.
