Messages people act on

Mark what's urgent, ask for acknowledgement, send at the right moment, and make sure the right person sees it.

Say how much it matters

The composer's + menu has Mark this message: Important, Urgent and Ask for acknowledgement. Use them sparingly; a channel where everything is urgent has nothing urgent.

Ask people to confirm they've read it

With Ask for acknowledgement, your message shows Waiting for acknowledgement, then Acknowledged by so many of so many. The other side presses Acknowledge. Ticks only say what a device did; an acknowledgement is something a person did.

Send at the right moment

Press the small arrow beside Send, Sending options, then Send later: In an hour, This evening, Tomorrow morning, or a time you set. It goes out whether or not your device is on. A strip above the box lists what's scheduled.

Get it to the right person

In a group or channel, the @ button starts a mention, so the person is told even if they've muted the rest.

Cross the language gap

Translate in a conversation's More options translates the whole thread and stays on, with Show original whenever you want it.

Voice notes people can read

Voice notes in Kanvo are usually written out a few seconds after they arrive, under Transcript, so the listener can read instead of play.

The short version

Mark Important or Urgent sparingly.Ask for acknowledgement when you need proof a person read it.Send later lands your message at a good hour.Mention the person who needs to act.

Try it in Kanvo

Next time you share something the team must read, open + → Ask for acknowledgement before sending. Schedule your next late-night message with Send later → Tomorrow morning.
